The oldest public garage house located in the center of Ljubljana (underground zone between the Slovenian Parliament building and the seat of NLB banka). The task was to deliver an easy-to-use way-finding system and create a more comfortable, friendly public space. Originally the garage was pretty degraded due to heavy use and numerous interier interventions, but without any serious “facelift” since it was built. This is why the owners decided to go for a wide-range renovation, but with a pretty limited budget. So we had to find a cheap but effective solution. The idea was to “neutralize” the vast interior with a light gray and “highlight” the pillars system in the variations of bright yellow colors. The direction-signs were graphically divided into two groups - for pedestrians and the vehicles. The interior of the garage was quite dark, so we decided to use LEDs for better visibility.
