Knoblehar
Ignatius Knoblehar (1819-1858) was a Slovenian Roman Catholic missionary renowned for his expeditions in eastern North Africa. As one of the earliest explorers of the White Nile basin, he embodied the spirit of adventure akin to Indiana Jones. This remarkable project unfolds as the creation of Knoblehar's personal "photo album" – an extraordinary artifact documenting his life, research, significance, and adventures. Designed by Vladan Srdic / Studio 360 and expertly written by PhD Marko Frelih, the book brings Knoblehar's story to life in vivid detail. Published as a joint endeavor between the Municipality of Skocjan and the Slovenian Ethnographic Museum, this project is a tribute to Knoblehar's legacy and the rich history of exploration. Dive into the pages of his extraordinary journey and discover the untold tales of a true adventurer. Client: Municipality of Skocjan, Slovene Ethnographic Museum
